"As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again. No, nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill. As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again"

Is this movie one of your favorites? Because, I'll be honest, I've never seen it. And I kind of don't ever want to. Should I? Am I uncultured swine if I don't? I trust you to give it to me straight.
Is it the G of W? I think the Grandma says it. I was one of the few kids that loved the movie we HAD to watch in school after we read the book.
Definitely Gone With the Wind. Heres' my story. Cris and I were in the Air Force in North Carolina--Nick was 3 months old. We decide to go see GWTW and get a baby sitter for the very first time in our live. We hire a Beehive--give her specific directions about our first born and how is to be put to sleep/bed. GWTW in a 3 hours movie!! We come home--Nick's bedroom light is ON--he's on his BACK (specific instructions that he always sleeps on his stomach) He's asleep but his eyes are puffy and red leading us to believe he cried himself to sleep in a bright room, on his back. Cris took the babysitter home--I picked up my baby and cried myself. We didn't have another babysitter until Kevin was born at which time I got over it and decided the kids would out live any babysitter--and stopped worrying.
Wow^^ Now tell the time you left NICK to babysit all of us. ::teehee::
Okay - first of all Carol - love the babysitter story, I was lucky enough to have had this darling beehive named Becca to be our first babysitter and Natalie loved her so much that we were perfectly at ease.
Landee - uncultured swine might be a little rough but yes - you should have seen this movie and the next time you have three uninterrupted hours (retirement maybe ?) I highly recommend it.
Amy - I can't figure out what G of W is. Am I uncultured swine ?
Got it - Grapes of Wrath (duh ?!) But this movie was about 50 years before that, but most likely a similar circumstance.
