I am thankful for this blog. I am compelled to check it each day (so that I can see what everyone else is up to) and it reminds me to be thankful for my five things. Sometimes I am too lazy to post them, but I think of them everyday. I am thankful to be alive and able to take care of my family. Some dear friends recently had a tragedy in their family, it has deeply affected me and made me thankful for life. There are not enough words to say how thankful I am for my sister. Technically she should be on my list every single day. There are so many days that I couldn't have managed without her even though she is far away. I love her with all of my heart. She is my hero. I am thankful for new tires on my van and I am thankful for my good friend Kelly for doing all of the legwork on the details for our trip. She has made it so easy for me ( a novice at all of this fancy vacation stuff !)

Today we went to Costco to have out pictures taken for our passports. That wasn't too bad because we got to eat lunch while we waited for the pictures to be developed. But the wait at the post office (an hour) was a different story. The kids were bored out of their minds and John taking video made Natalie especially happy !
Well - at least it's done - well almost ! Apparently the year Erin was born the state of California was distributing birth "abstracts" instead of birth certificates so we still have to go to the Hall of Records to get a correct copy of Erin's birth certificate ! YEA!! then back to the post office AGAIN ! At least this time it will only be with one child and we'll know to go first thing in the morning !

Girls Camp 2008

Natalie is home !! YEA !! I am so thankful for all of the camp leaders that made her week so wonderful - she loves you and so do I !! Less than a month till school is back in !! (Sorry to my teacher friends - I don't mean to wish away your vacation I just long for order and a little quiet time !) I am thankful for Jill - she's at the beach this week and was at girl's camp last week - she's been busy this summer but has been there everytime I've needed her. She knows what I mean and how important it was. I'm thankful that my washing maching works because I have some stinky camp clothes to wash ! I am thankful for toaster struedal (sp?) it makes my kids REALLY happy - go figure !

I am thankful that Chloe is here today - Heather has a friend until 2:00 +. I am thankful that I have heard nothing from girl's camp. With Big Meadow - no news is good news. I could say this everyday - but just so she knows - I am thankful for Amy - she is just the best friend a girl could ask for and the reasons are too long to list but I hope she knows how much she means to me. I am thankful that Sierrah is here to stay (one of my little daycare kids that was only going to be temporary but has decided to stay for good which is great because we've already fallen in love with her. I am thankful that Erin actually misses Natalie and says so frequently -it warms my heart.
